The town's parish church (St. Michael) probably dates back to 1164.
Was rebuilt between the late 1500s and early 1600s.
In 1740 the orientation of the church was reversed: the altar was moved from north to south and the entrance was opened to the north.
The church is provided with a new facade, a new bell tower, and a new but valuable scagliola altar (signed Solaro, 1750).
