The ancient Aramengo Castle, destroyed in the fifteenth century, stood on the fortress near the current parish Church of S. Antonio Abate.
In the sixteenth century, work began on the construction of the first parish while in the eighteenth century the second and current Church of S. Antonio Abate was erected.
Some documents recall that parts of the castle were present even after the demolition of the main body including the castle chapel dedicated to Saint Carlo.
Even these remains were later demolished to make way for the current church and the site of the castle was destined to house the cemetery.
