Francesco Elia, a native of Ferrere, was the waiter of Count Vittorio Alfieri from 1766 to 1785 who described him as "a man of very clever genius".
Elijah offered his precious support in various needs, in particular in the treatment of the various infections that Alfieri contracted during his travels.
The house of the waiter Elia, now completely renovated, is privately owned.
The house is part of the "Alfieri's Route", a 12-stage route that winds along the streets of Asti and its province.
The signage of the route has been renewed by the Rotary Club Asti.
