The Nizza Monferrato Nursery School since 1976 has always represented a point of reference in the area, not only for having welcomed children and families but also for supporting and promoting the culture of childhood through initiatives aimed at children and adults living with them.
Over the years the Municipality has invested significant resources in building a significant network of interventions and opportunities for children.
In the course of its history, this service has been transformed, assuming an ever more educational connotation towards children, support and sharing of the parental function, as well as conscious pedagogical planning, always in progress.
The nursery school is a place where every child must feel accepted and recognized, a place where the manifestation of the identity of each one must be encouraged and valued.
This place speaks of a curious child, willing to make contact with others, of a child who is worth listening to because he has many things to say. He talks about the rights of children to grow in well-kept, welcoming, beautiful environments, generous for the opportunities for experiences that can be made in them.
Welcomes 40 divided children, according to age, in 3 and n. 3 auxiliary.
The rooms are welcoming and cared for, designed to guarantee wellness conditions and meet the needs of children who change according to age.
There is a wide choice of materials proposed according to educational and didactic purposes and great value is attributed to poor and destructured materials because being flexible and transformable they stimulate creativity.
The children have available non-prepackaged games that offer the opportunity to know, browse, amaze through the multiple experiences proposed on the basis of an educational project shared by all staff.
There are also laboratories that promote sensory, motor, artistic and cognitive activities through doing and acting in the first person in a dimension of community and socialization.
Two large green areas allow children the contact with nature inviting them to build new ways of playing, exploring and being together.
The day at the nursery takes place with attention to the times and rhythms of children to ensure the satisfaction of individual needs that are even more personalized in the child below the year.
The kitchen is internal with a distinct menu in winter and summer, for children up to 12 months and between 12 and 36 months, divided into 4 weeks.
Separate meals are prepared for children with special diets.
The insertion of the child is gradual and requires the presence of a parent who accompanies him to change and acts as a bridge between family and nest.
The child is welcomed, recognized, encouraged by the educators who support him emotionally and slowly help him to extend his network of relationships.
Staff is competent and prepared and every year follows training courses for a continuous retraining and supervision of the educational activity.
To conclude: “... Working with children and for children means having confidence in the future. We do not want to avoid this commitment, in the knowledge that investment for children can be a resource for our entire community!”
