In the park, dedicated to the fallen of the First World War, there is the Tower of Count Paolo Ballada from Saint Robert.
The count Paolo Ballada of Saint Robert was an important scholar of military technology.
In 1880, he built an imposing 14 meter tall observation tower (visitable) that still dominates the panorama of Castagnole delle Lanze.
Inside the tower is the museum dedicated to the Count, run by the cultural association Torre del Conte Paolo Ballada di Saint Robert.
The tower stands where once stood the castle of Castagnole delle Lanze, destroyed in 1255.
