The Association was founded in Ferrere in 2015 on the initiative of mayor Silvio Tealdi to support the expansion of the nearby SEA of the Colline Alfieri, which since 2005 operates in the neighboring territory. Over the years, the request for support, especially for elderly people, has become increasingly pressing even by the municipalities of Ferrere, Valfenera, Dusino San Michele and Cellarengo without excluding the commitment to meet requests from towns and neighboring countries.
On 12 January 2015, the municipal administration of Ferrere, noting the needs of the population and the effectiveness of the service of SEA volunteers, decided to facilitate the establishment of a new association of the Elderly Emergency Service which, based in Ferrere, could also operate in the Municipalities neighbors, to serve a catchment area of over 8,000 inhabitants over an area of more than 60 Km2.
In order for the Association to be immediately operational, the municipal administration of Ferrere hosted the SEA 7 Colline headquarters in the municipal areas, providing it with the necessary services to have direct contact with the needs of the elderly. The generosity of the population has then donated three cars that currently make up the fleet of vehicles for services.
From the original nine founders, participation has grown in a short time to form a volunteer body of more than 30 people.
