Agliano Terme castle was destroyed in the first half of the seventeenth century during the struggle between the Duke of Savoy and the Spaniards for the succession of Monferrato.
On the ruins of the castle was built the church dedicated to S. Pietro, later destroyed in 1770.
Of the mighty manor today remains a tower, visited and owned by the aqueduct.
The top of the building is a privileged vantage point to observe the hills of the province of Asti.
